Presentación – Resumen Curricular

Sasha Mudd es profesora asociada de Filosofía en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y profesora visitante en la Universidad de Southampton. Es doctora en Historia y Filosofía de la Ciencia por la Universidad de Cambridge y magíster en Divinity por la Universidad de Chicago. Antes de trasladarse a Chile por razones familiares en 2017, trabajó durante siete años como Lecturer in Philosophy en la Universidad de Southampton.

Su investigación abarca la filosofía de Kant, la filosofía moral, la filosofía pública y las preguntas éticas que surgen en torno al duelo, la vulnerabilidad y la injusticia institucional. Su trabajo académico ha abordado, entre otros temas, la unidad de la razón práctica y teórica en Kant, los fundamentos de la normatividad, la justicia epistémica y las condiciones sociales de producción del conocimiento. Actualmente desarrolla una línea de investigación sobre capitalismo, medicina y dignidad humana, centrada en cómo las instituciones con fines de lucro pueden producir y normalizar muertes evitables.

Además de su investigación académica, Mudd escribe filosofía para públicos amplios. Sus ensayos han aparecido en numerosos medios, entre ellos The New York Times, El País y Prospect, donde escribe una columna regular como Philosopher-at-Large. También es autora de un newsletter en Substack con el mismo nombre. Actualmente escribe The Dragon, un memoir literario trenzado sobre el duelo, la justicia, la medicina con fines de lucro y las demandas éticas de los muertos.
